General
Group chat room options are permissions which allow adding new users automatically to the chat room and makes it possible for users to add themselves to the chat room. Only Virola admin and chat room moderator can activate these permissions.
The permission to allow users join a group and add new users to a group automatically can be enabled by Virola admin or by a group moderator:
1.Right click on a group where you would like to activate these permissions
2.Select "Room options" from the context menu
Chat room options
3.Check the permissions you would like to activate
Chat room permissions
When this permission is active, all new users are added to the chat room automatically. These users can be either created by Virola admin, self-registered or imported from JSON or AD. For such users the chat room will appear in the chat rooms left panel right after they log into their profile.
When this permission is active, users can join the chat room through the chat room link, which looks like this: virola:///room/5. The link will open the chat room where a user who clicked the link will be added automatically. All chat history and files will be available to a user who joined the chat room.
If the permission "Allow users to self-add to this room" is disabled, the user who clicked the chat room link will get an error "Chat room not found".
When this permission is active users can leave the chat room themselves. Otherwise only chat room moderator or Virola admin can remove users from the group chat room.
