Permissions feature in Virola corporate messenger allows admins to grant or restrict the following actions on the application level:
•Creating a public chat-room
•Creating a private chat-room
•Sending a text message in the main thread
•Sending a text message in a discussion
•Sending files in the main thread
•Sending files in a discussion
•Adding reactions in the main thread
•Adding reactions in a discussion
•Editing or removing own text messages
•Renaming or removing own attachments
•Performing workflow for non-own issues
Admin global permissions cannot be overridden in specific public room permissions or in personal permissions set by moderator.
Moderators in chat-rooms can regulate the following specific public room permissions:
•Creating a text message in the main thread
•Creating a text message in a discussion
•Sending an attachment in the main thread
•Sending an attachment in a discussion
•Adding reactions in the main thread
•Adding reactions in a discussion
•Editing or removing own text messages
•Renaming or removing own attachments
•Performing workflow for non-own issues
Permissions set by a moderator cannot override global and public room permissions set by admin.
Moderators can also set personal permissions for particular users within the chat-room. Such permissions will override granted public room permissions. This means that it is possible to restrict personal permissions for any user within the chat room and those permissions will override specific public room permissions. Personal permissions which can be applied to specific user are:
•Creating a text message in the main thread
•Creating a text message in a discussion
•Sending an attachment in the main thread
•Sending an attachment in a discussion
•Adding reactions in the main thread
•Adding reactions in a discussion
•Editing or removing own text messages
•Renaming or removing own attachments
•Performing workflow for non-own issues
