User profile details
For large corporations it is important to let their employees easily access the information about their co-workers, especially if they need to find and get in touch with their colleagues.
More and more employees start working remotely today and the only way to stay in touch with their co-workers is to use the company corporate messenger. Thus, the availability of detailed user profiles will streamline the working process and will let employees easily find each other within the corporate network. Virola business messenger allows creating detailed user profiles which contain the following information:
- User picture
- User name
- Date of birth
- Department
- Job title and description
- Corporate contact details
- Links to social media profiles
To find the needed contact and check the user profile you need to do the following:
- Select "Create private room" item from the File or hamburger menu
- Start typing the name of the needed person
- When you see the needed person in the list, click "Show user profile" button next their name
To check profile details of a user in a group chat room you need to do the following:
- Right click on a user picture
- Select "User profile" from the context menu
Virola supports various methods for adding users to the server - from manual one-by-one entry to synchronization with an LDAP Directory Service.
