Lightweight. Fast. Built to Save Resources

Illustration of Virola and other messengers resource consumption

At Virola, we focus on quality, performance, and resource efficiency. Developed in C++, Virola is engineered to be lightweight and fast - without compromising functionality.

Virola Server can run on a system with minimal hardware resources - just 1 CPU core and 512 MB of RAM are sufficient. The actual amount of RAM required depends on the number of users in your team - approximately 1 MB of RAM per user. Unlike many other messengers, we don't increase memory or CPU usage with every new release - in fact, we actively work to reduce it.

The Virola Client application for Windows is only ~100 MB in size. Even during voice and video meetings, its RAM consumption is lower than what most corporate messengers use at startup. This makes it ideal for both powerful and resource-constrained environments.
